A Home
A home is not a house.
It’s an attitude; a posture;
A metaphorical open door, welcome mat included.
A home is not an investment.
It’s a community; a hub;
An invaluable asset, with very high interest.
A home is not easily built.
It’s vulnerability; risk;
A lifetime of practice, brick by brick.
A home has no rules.
It’s chaos; though purely unconditional;
There is no judge or jury, only space.
A home is not a person.
It’s a connection; between a person and every other;
It looks like a thread, yet contains the complexity of every human feeling, fear, and emotion.
A home is love.
It’s mushy; kind of cliché;
The most powerful, soft, and forgiving force on earth.
